Who should take this course?
Love scuba diving? Want to share it with others on a whole new level? Take the PADI Divemaster course and do what you love to do as a career.
To sign up for a PADI Divemaster Course:
- you must be a PADI Rescue Diver (or a qualifying certification from another diver training organisation)
- have completed an Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care course within the last 24 months
- have a medical statement signed by a physician within the last 12 months
- have at least 40 logged dives
What will you learn?
Through Knowledge development sessions, water- skills exercises, workshops and hands-on practical assessments, you develop the skills to organize and direct a variety of scuba diving activities. Topics and practical workshops include:
- role & characteristics of the PADI Divemaster
- diver safety and risk management
- PADI Divemaster conducted programs and specialized skills
- business of diving and your career
- awareness of the dive environment, dive setup, management & conducting dive briefings
- mapping an open water site
- organizing a search & recovery and a deep dive
- assisting with Discover Scuba Diving & Leading Discover Local Diving programs
- conducting a ReActivateTM program or skin diver course
- supervising dive activities & assisting with students
